A Filipina household service worker from Kuwait won a brand new SUV from Dubai-based company, Korooti. Edna L, 53 years old, hails from Pampanga and has been an OFW for 16 years. She won a Subaru XV worth 1 Million Php (80,000 AED).
The raffle draw was held last May 17, 2018, with Korooti CEO, Tariq Farekh, together with representatives from the Dubai Department of Economic Development, Subaru and Kabayan Weekly. Edna won with her Korooti VIP card number: 233285

Edna has been working for the same employer in Kuwait for over 16 years and when asked what she’s going to do with the prize, she says that her sponsor’s sibling will buy it from her, and she will use the money to invest in a house and car in the Philippines.
“I was surprised when I found out I won the raffle and when I told my sponsor about, they thought I was going to go home to the Philippines for good. I’ve decided to sell the SUV so I could use the money to invest in a house and get another car in the Philippines.” Edna says.
