5 Bank Options That Could Ease School-Fee Bills

UAE: Parents preparing for the 2026–2027 school year can use installment plans offered by several UAE banks to spread large education payments over several months.

The new academic year will begin on August 31, 2026, for public schools and private schools following the Ministry of Education curriculum.

Other private schools may follow calendars approved by their local education authority.

Parents should confirm their child’s first school day directly with the school.

Emirates NBD Offers Up to 24 Months

Emirates NBD credit cardholders can convert education payments of at least AED1,000 into six- or 12-month instalments at 0% interest.

Each transaction carries a one-time AED49 processing fee.

Payments of AED5,000 or more can be divided over 24 months, but a processing fee equal to 3% of the transaction applies.

The Emirates NBD education offer is listed as valid until January 31, 2027.

FAB Offers Four Payment Periods

First Abu Dhabi Bank allows eligible school-fee transactions to be divided over three, six, nine, or 12 months.

Its current school-fee payment offer advertises 0% interest and no processing fee until September 30, 2026.

Cardholders must use the FAB Mobile app, select an eligible school-fee transaction, and choose their preferred payment period.

School-specific conditions may still apply.

ADCB Islamic Plan Ends August 31

ADCB Islamic Banking cardholders can convert school-fee payments into three-, six-, or 12-month plans at a 0% profit rate.

A processing fee of AED50 applies, excluding 5% value-added tax.

The ADCB Islamic school-fee plan is available until August 31, 2026.

The bank also supports payments to more than 400 schools and colleges through its digital channels.

Two More Options for Parents

Emirates Islamic offers 0% monthly profit on eligible education payments of at least AED1,000.

Transactions must be converted within 30 days.

Its 12-month option requires an education payment above AED10,000.

The Emirates Islamic offer runs until December 31, 2026.

RAKBANK cardholders can also use the Skiply education payment app to divide fees over three, six, or 12 months without interest or processing fees.

Its Skiply offer covers eligible local and international education payments until December 31, 2026.

What Parents Should Check Before Paying

Parents should confirm that their school, card, and transaction qualify before paying.

They should also check the processing fee, available credit limit, conversion deadline, lost rewards, and charges for missed payments.

A 0% plan can still cost money when processing fees or late-payment charges apply.
