Bernadette Azucena, a Filipina based in Ajman, has won the Dh20 million grand prize in Big Ticket’s Series 291 live draw, held in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Her ticket, number 013075, was pulled from the draw by Shaukat Aftab of Pakistan, who won last month’s Dh15 million jackpot.
The win makes Azucena the newest name on Big Ticket’s list of millionaires. She joins a long line of UAE residents whose lives have been changed by a single ticket.
Winner Could Not Be Reached During Live Draw
Big Ticket organizers called Azucena by phone during the live broadcast to give her the news. The call did not go through.
Azucena is expected to appear at next month’s live draw. For now, many in the UAE’s Filipino community, and her fellow residents in Ajman, are celebrating her good fortune from afar.## Other Series 291 Winners
Beyond the grand prize, the draw produced several more winners. Waseem Khan, an Indian expat from Dubai, drove away with the Dream Car — a brand-new Nissan Patrol (ticket 032021).
Five Indian nationals shared Dh1.95 million in consolation prizes:
- Dh1 million: Sunil Kumar, Abu Dhabi
- Dh500,000: Kulwant Singh Nirmal Singh, Ajman
- Dh250,000: Ajith Kumar Vanarath, Muscat
- Dh100,000: Muhammad Ijas C, Ajman
- Dh100,000: Setvan Kumar Chauhan, Dubai
The Big Spin segment added three more cash winners: Arun Kumar Yadav (Dh100,000), Taha Hefni Shehata Ahmed (Dh75,000), and MD Nasir Uddin (Dh50,000).
What’s Next: Dh25 Million Up for Grabs
Series 292 raises the stakes with a Dh25 million grand prize, drawn on November 3. That draw will also feature five consolation prizes of 200-gram gold bars, a golden Range Rover Velar Dream Car, and three Big Spin participants.
A second Dream Car draw (Nissan Patrol) and another Big Spin follow on December 3. Weekly e-draws throughout October will award additional gold bars.
