DUBAI: Nominations are now open for the first Dubai-it Award, which recognizes people and groups that have turned ambitious ideas into real and measurable results.
Applications will be accepted from August 10 to September 10, 2026.
Individuals, projects, companies, organizations, and government or private entities may take part.
Applicants may nominate themselves or submit the achievements of another person, team, project, or organization.
The award was launched under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
According to the Government of Dubai Media Office, the award supports Dubai’s working philosophy of turning ideas into results with quality and speed.
Ten fields are covered by the award
The Dubai-it Award has three main recognition segments: individuals, projects, and institutions or companies.
Achievements may be entered under 10 fields:
- Government
- Real estate
- Economy
- Business
- Technology
- Sports
- Society
- Education
- Services
- Health
For the first edition, eligible entries may cover achievements, projects, and major transformations completed within the past four years.
From the second edition onward, entries will focus on achievements completed during the previous 24 months.
This gives long-running projects and recent accomplishments a chance to be recognized during the award’s opening year.
Evidence must show results and impact
Submitting a name or project title alone will not be enough.
Each application must describe the achievement, its objectives, the challenge or opportunity involved, and the nominee’s contribution.
Applicants must also explain the steps taken and the results produced.
Supporting evidence may include performance figures, reports, photographs, certificates, media materials, and other documents that prove the work’s quality, speed, and impact.
Judges will consider the size of the achievement, quality of delivery, efficiency, measurable results, long-term value, and potential to inspire others.
Nominees may also be invited to attend meetings or interviews or provide further documents during the evaluation process.
How residents and organizations can apply
Interested individuals and groups can submit an application through the official Dubai-it Award website.
Applicants should choose the correct award field and prepare clear evidence before completing the online form.
The deadline is September 10, 2026.
Residents, companies, and teams with qualifying achievements should review the requirements early, gather supporting records, and submit before the nomination window closes.
