DUBAI: Emirates Airlines has introduced free unlimited date changes for customers travelling to Dubai, giving passengers more room to adjust their plans.
The new option took effect on August 10, 2026, and applies across all fare types on eligible Emirates flights to Dubai.
The airline has also lowered refund fees for selected fares and highlighted other benefits covering bookings, travel insurance, disrupted flights, and Emirates Skywards members.
Which Emirates fares get free date changes?
Passengers flying to Dubai can change their travel dates as many times as needed without paying a change fee.
The offer covers Saver and Flex fares in Economy Class.
It also covers Special, Saver, and Flex fares in Business Class.
Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus, and First Class tickets remain fully flexible.
Although Emirates will not charge a date-change fee, passengers may still need to pay a fare difference if the new flight costs more.
Customers should check their ticket conditions before confirming any change.
Lower refund fees for Dubai flights
Emirates has also reduced refund charges on eligible flights to Dubai.
Economy Saver tickets now carry a refund fee of US$50, while Economy Flex tickets have a US$25 fee.
For Business Class, the refund fee is US$50 for Special and Saver fares and US$25 for Flex fares.
The updated charges may help passengers cancel plans at a lower cost when travel becomes impossible.
One free change on other Emirates routes
Customers travelling elsewhere on the Emirates network also have a flexible booking option.
Tickets booked from April 2, 2026, include one free date change, including trips that connect through Dubai.
Passengers may also hold a fare for up to 24 hours without charge while finalising their plans.
Insurance and help during disruptions
Emirates offers Comprehensive Travel Cover in 27 countries.
It may include trip cancellation, baggage delay or loss, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and selected conflict-related coverage.
The insurance can be purchased during booking or added later through the Manage Booking service.
If an Emirates flight is disrupted, the airline may provide accommodation or arrange another flight to the passenger’s destination at no added cost, depending on the situation.

Passengers planning a Dubai trip should review their fare rules on the Emirates website or contact the airline before changing or cancelling a booking.
They should also confirm any fare difference, refund deduction, and insurance terms that apply to their ticket.
