DUBAI: Dubai has opened global registration for One Million Prompters, a free training program that aims to teach one million people how to use artificial intelligence tools better.
The program is led by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence.
It focuses on prompt engineering, which is the skill of giving clear and useful instructions to AI tools such as chatbots, writing tools, design tools, and other generative AI systems.

Why Dubai Is Training AI Users
One Million Prompters was first launched in May 2024 under the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation.
The program supports Dubai’s wider plan to become a global leader in AI use.
It is also part of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, which seeks to grow AI talent and bring AI into more industries.
The goal is not only to train programmers.
The course is also open to people in creative, business, office, education, and professional fields who want to use AI in their daily work.
Four Modules for Practical AI Skills
The course is divided into four learning modules.
The first module, Unleashing the Power of AI, teaches the basics of AI, generative AI, and prompt literacy.
The second module, Commanding Conversations with AI Chatbots, explains how users can improve their conversations with AI chatbots.
The third module, AI-Powered Productivity Revolution, focuses on using AI to save time, organize tasks, and improve work output.
The fourth module, Creative Frontiers with Generative AI, covers AI use in creative fields such as art, music, and video production.
Learners who finish all four modules and complete the required quizzes and assessments can receive a certificate in AI prompt engineering.
A Door for Workers and Creatives
DCAI Director Saeed Al Falasi said the program will help people from different fields use AI in better and more practical ways.
He said prompt engineering can help users unlock new uses for AI, from technical work to creative projects.
The program also builds on Dubai’s Global Prompt Engineering Championship, first held in May 2024.
That event attracted applicants from nearly 100 countries.
Winners came from India and Austria in the coding, art, and literature categories.
