PHILIPPINES: The Department of Information and Communications Technology Region XI is inviting Filipinos to join eight free online courses covering artificial intelligence, data science, and analytics.
The courses are offered through the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau and are open to students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring digital workers.
DICT Region XI announced the free learning opportunity through its official Facebook page.

Eight Courses Available Until December 31
The online learning period runs from July 28 to December 31, 2026.
Participants may choose from the following beginner and intermediate courses:
- Introduction to Modern AI
- Introduction to Data Science
- Apply AI: Analyze Customer Reviews
- Apply AI: Update Your Resume
- AI Fundamentals: Foundation for Understanding AI
- AI Fundamentals: Language and Vision in AI
- Data Analytics Essentials
- Data Science with Python
The first seven courses are marked for beginners. Data Science with Python is listed as an intermediate course.
AI Lessons Include Practical Daily Tasks
Several courses focus on how artificial intelligence can be used for common school, work, and business activities.
Participants can learn how AI systems understand language and images. Other lessons show how AI may help analyze customer feedback or improve a résumé.
Cisco Networking Academy describes Introduction to Modern AI as a beginner-friendly course with practice using AI-powered applications.
Learners do not need to begin with advanced coding to study the introductory AI subjects.
Data Courses Cover Analytics and Python
Those interested in working with information can begin with Introduction to Data Science or Data Analytics Essentials.
The Data Analytics Essentials course covers how to organize, transform, and visualize data. It also introduces tools used by data analysts.
Learners with basic knowledge can move to Data Science with Python, which offers a more technical look at processing and studying data through programming.
Study Online Without a Fixed Class Schedule
All eight courses are free, fully online, and self-paced.
This setup allows participants to study during free time instead of attending scheduled live classes.
A learner will still need a working email address, a computer or compatible device, and reliable internet access. Setting a weekly study schedule may also help participants finish before the December 31 deadline.
How Interested Learners Can Register
Applicants can open the official DICT registration link shared in the announcement.
They should provide correct information and follow the enrollment instructions sent through the registration system.
Participants should register early to give themselves enough time to complete their chosen lessons before access ends.
