New Agreement Signed on Migrant Workers Day
The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Migrant Workers Office signed a memorandum of agreement on June 5, in time for Migrant Workers Day 2026.
The agreement creates a formal system for handling financial claims and benefits due to overseas Filipino workers in the UAE.
According to the Department of Migrant Workers, the pact sets a clearer mechanism for the transfer, administration, and processing of claims.
This includes blood money, end-of-service benefits, and other labor-related financial claims.
