ABU DHABI: The UAE Cabinet has approved the launch of a Cabinet AI Advisor system made up of 32 specialised AI advisors, designed to improve how government decisions are studied and made. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the move while chairing the Cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
The advisors work with ministers 24 hours a day to analyse policies and legislation, assess their impact, review global best practice, and present recommendations. Sheikh Mohammed described the aim as “a more efficient government, and faster and more accurate decisions.”
What the System Does
The 32 AI advisors review subjects brought before the Cabinet, including government programmes, policies, and legislation. For each matter, they:
- Assess the financial, economic, social, and environmental impact
- Link findings to global best practice and UAE national priorities
- Present recommendations drawn from approved inputs and sources
The Cabinet also approved a governed framework to issue Cabinet decisions supported by agentic AI, keeping work moving and decisions timely. The system is built around core confidentiality principles and meets UAE cybersecurity standards.

What It Means
Better-informed Cabinet decisions shape the policies and programmes that affect daily life for residents and expat families across the UAE. This system aims to make that process faster, more thorough, and more consistent.
The Cabinet AI Advisor is part of a broader push to embed AI across government. Progress on AI adoption in government entities is expected to be reviewed at the UAE Government Annual Meetings, set for November 8 to 10, 2026.
