Safe crossing through Egypt

Officials confirmed that the group successfully crossed the Taba Border Crossing, a key land route connecting Israel and Egypt.

Upon arrival in Egypt, the Filipino workers were immediately received by the Philippine Embassy in Cairo along with a Rapid Response Team from OWWA.

The team assisted the workers with logistics and ensured they were safely transported to temporary hotel accommodations where they could rest before their scheduled flights back to the Philippines.

The group consists of Filipino caregivers and hotel workers who requested assistance to leave Israel.

Temporary assistance before repatriation

Government teams arranged temporary lodging for the workers to allow them to recover from travel and prepare for their journey home.

Officials said the coordination between Philippine government agencies and embassy staff helped ensure a smooth transfer of the group from Israel into Egypt.

The Rapid Response Team also provided immediate assistance, including accommodation support and travel arrangements for their return flights.

Authorities said the evacuation is part of the government’s broader effort to assist overseas Filipinos who wish to return home.

Embassy urges Filipinos to coordinate for assistance

The Philippine Embassy is encouraging Filipinos in Israel who want to be repatriated or who need assistance to contact embassy officials.

Workers can inform the embassy of their situation by filling out an online form provided by the government.

Officials said the form allows embassy teams to track requests for help and coordinate assistance for Filipinos who may need evacuation or other forms of support.

Those who wish to request repatriation or assistance can register through the embassy’s online form:

Government teams continue to monitor the situation and remain ready to help Filipino workers who may need support or evacuation from Israel.
