3 Killed, 58 Injured in Iranian Attacks, says UAE Ministry of Defence

ABU DHABI, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defence has announced that recent attacks from Iran resulted in three fatalities and 58 injuries. The casualties were caused by a combination of drone impacts and falling debris from intercepted missiles.

In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the deceased were of Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities. The 58 individuals who sustained minor injuries include Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, and Afghan nationals.

The Ministry detailed an extensive air defense operation that has been underway since the attacks began on February 28. UAE air defenses have successfully intercepted and destroyed 165 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles, and 541 Iranian drones.

According to the report, 21 drones hit civilian targets, while debris from the successful interception of other projectiles fell in various parts of the country. This resulted in minor to moderate material damage to several civilian properties.

Authorities have affirmed that the UAE Armed Forces are fully prepared to deal with any threats. The Ministry emphasized that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains the nation’s top priority.
