MWO Dubai Announces New Verification Fees for Employment Contracts

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai has released Advisory No. 12-A, Series of 2025, outlining updated verification fees for employment contracts and labor-related documents. The new rates, effective July 1, 2025, apply to specific types of documents and are aimed at streamlining the process while clarifying who bears the costs. Here’s what you need to know about these changes.

Highlights of the New Verification Fees

Starting July 1, the MWO Dubai will implement the following updates to its verification fees:

New Fees Chargeable to Employers or Agencies:

  • Verification of employment contracts and labor documents that involve employers, foreign recruitment agencies, or manning agencies will incur new charges.
  • Types of documents affected include:
    • Individual employment contracts for domestic workers (e.g., those processed through TADBEER and workers hired directly from the Philippines).
    • Contracts for cleaners and vulnerable worker groups.
    • Direct hires, re-hires, agency hires, job orders, and accreditations.
  • Fee Amount: USD 40.00 or AED 150.00 per document.

Fees for OFWs Changing Status Remain Unchanged

For Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are already onsite in the United Arab Emirates and decide to change their employment status or employer, the verification fees remain as follows:

  • Existing Fee: USD 10.00 or AED 40.00 per individual employment contract.

This unchanged fee ensures continuity and affordability for OFWs making adjustments to their work arrangements while in the UAE.
