Abu Dhabi Naval Base Targeted in Iranian Drone Attack, Says UAE Defence Ministry

ABU DHABI, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defence has issued a strong statement following an incident targeting the Al Salam naval base in Abu Dhabi. Specialized teams responded immediately to a fire caused by two Iranian drones that struck a warehouse at the facility.

According to the Ministry, the attack resulted in a fire involving two containers storing general materials. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that there were no casualties resulting from the incident.

Strong Condemnation of Aggression

In its official response, the Ministry of Defence unequivocally condemned the military targeting, describing it as a “blatant act of aggression and a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.”

The statement affirmed the UAE’s position, declaring that the nation reserves its full right to respond to this escalation. The Ministry emphasized its commitment to taking all necessary measures to protect the country’s territory, people, and residents, safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and stability.

The Ministry stressed that the UAE Armed Forces remain fully prepared and ready to address any threats. It reiterated that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is a top priority that cannot be compromised.

“We are taking all necessary measures to decisively confront anything that seeks to undermine the country’s security and stability,” the Ministry added in its statement.
