ABU DHABI, UAE: One person has died and four others sustained injuries following an incident at the Habshan gas facilities. The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that falling debris from a successful air defense interception caused the event.
Soon after the interception, two fires broke out at the site. Emergency response teams acted swiftly and brought the situation under control to secure the area.
Tragically, one Egyptian national lost his life while teams evacuated the facility. Four other individuals suffered minor injuries during the event. The injured workers include two Pakistani nationals and two Egyptian nationals.
The falling debris caused significant damage to the gas facilities. Officials are currently on the ground conducting a full assessment to understand the exact scale of the impact.
