UAE: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) says it resolved 98.6 percent of labour disputes in the private sector in 2025, a figure officials say reflects the growing efficiency of the country’s labor complaint system and its ability to handle conflicts quickly while protecting the rights of both workers and employers.
The ministry revealed that millions of interactions related to labor complaints, consultations, and inquiries were handled throughout the year as authorities continued to strengthen dispute resolution procedures in the UAE’s private sector.

Nearly All Labor Complaints Settled
According to MoHRE, the ministry processed around 9.43 million communication engagements during 2025 related to labor consultations and complaint cases.
Officials said the high dispute settlement rate demonstrates the effectiveness of the UAE’s labor relations system, which focuses on resolving conflicts early before they escalate into lengthy legal battles.
Authorities noted that the approach helps speed up the resolution process while ensuring that both workers and employers receive fair treatment under the law.
The ministry said the system is designed to ensure that legal rights and entitlements are granted to the appropriate parties in the shortest time possible.
Faster Resolution for Workers and Employers
MoHRE said its dispute management system allows complaints to be processed quickly through integrated communication channels and digital services.
This approach reduces the burden on workers and companies who might otherwise face lengthy procedures when filing labor complaints.
Officials added that the streamlined system improves completion efficiency while ensuring that labor disputes are resolved through transparent and fair processes.
The ministry emphasized that protecting legal rights while maintaining a stable labor environment remains a key priority for the UAE.
Part of Broader Labor Market Oversight
The ministry said the dispute resolution framework is part of a broader system designed to manage the UAE labor market and respond quickly to worker concerns.
Authorities said the high resolution rate highlights the country’s commitment to maintaining clear procedures and governance standards in labor relations.
By resolving complaints quickly, MoHRE said it aims to maintain trust in the labor system while strengthening stability across the private sector.
Officials also stressed that continuous improvements to complaint handling procedures and digital services are helping the government respond faster to labor market needs.
Reinforcing Transparency in the Labor System
MoHRE said the dispute resolution results reinforce the principles of transparency and fairness in the UAE labor market.
The ministry added that ensuring quick settlements not only protects workers’ rights but also supports employers by providing a clear and efficient process for resolving conflicts.
Authorities said the system ultimately helps maintain balance in labor relations and supports the overall stability of the UAE’s workforce environment.
