What the Alert Levels Mean
The crisis alert system guides government action and advice to Filipinos abroad.
Alert Level 1 – Precautionary Phase
This is issued when instability is possible but still limited. Filipinos are advised to stay alert and avoid risky areas. Jordan is currently under this level.
Alert Level 2 – Restriction Phase
Filipinos are advised to shelter in place, restrict non essential movement, and prepare for possible evacuation if conditions worsen. Iran, Kurdistan, and the West Bank are under this level.
Alert Level 3 – Voluntary Repatriation
Filipinos are encouraged to return to the Philippines if they feel unsafe. Lebanon and Iraq currently fall under this category.
Alert Level 4 – Mandatory Repatriation
This is the highest alert level and is issued during severe conflict or threats. Filipinos are urged to evacuate through government led repatriation programs. Syria, Gaza, and Yemen are currently under this alert.
DFA Monitoring Situation Closely
The DFA urged Filipinos in affected areas to stay vigilant, follow local government advisories, and remain in contact with Philippine embassies and consulates.
Officials said diplomatic posts in the region continue monitoring developments and stand ready to assist Filipino nationals if conditions change.
For emergencies, Filipinos abroad are encouraged to contact their nearest Philippine embassy or assistance to nationals hotline for guidance and support.
