DFA Advisory: Filipinos, Renew Your Passport 1 Year Before Expiry

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued an advisory to all Filipinos mentioning there will be no extensions for e-passports. This is in compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.

In such case, the DFA advised Filipinos to renew their passports one year earlier before the passport expires.

The PCG Dubai is the office where you can renew your Philippine passport in Dubai and Northern Emirates and Filipinos are also advised to make sure that you schedule an appointment as earlier as possible to allot enough time for the schedule and processing of the document.

In an advisory from the official website of the DFA, they have released a statement advising Filipinos to renew their passports one year before the date of expiration.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs all passport renewal applicants that extension of ePassport validity is no longer allowed in compliance with the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Passport holders are recommended to renew their passports at least one year before the date of expiry. Appointments for passport applications in the Philippines may be done through http://passport.gov.ph.
