Kalayaan 2026 Adds Free Job Support for Filipinos

DUBAI: Filipino jobseekers in the UAE can get free career support this Sunday, June 7, as the Dubayans HR Corner opens at Kalayaan 2026 in Dubai World Trade Centre.

The HR Corner will be set up at Halls 1 and 2 during the day-long Independence Day celebration. The event starts from 8:00 a.m. and is expected to draw many Filipinos across the UAE.

For OFWs and jobseekers, the booth offers more than a festive stop. It is a free career clinic where visitors can get practical help for job applications and interviews.

CV Help for Stronger Applications

One of the main services is a CV writing workshop. This can help applicants improve how they present their work experience, skills, and achievements.

CV mentors will also be available on-site for one-on-one feedback. This is useful for jobseekers who already have a resume but are not sure if it is clear, updated, or suited for the UAE job market.

For many applicants, a stronger CV can make a big difference. It is often the first thing recruiters check before deciding who gets called for an interview.

Interview Tips and Labour Law Guidance

The Dubayans HR Corner will also offer interview coaching. Visitors can learn tips to answer questions with more confidence and prepare better for employer conversations.

A UAE labour law briefing will also be part of the program. This session will cover workers’ rights and key legal responsibilities.

This is important for Filipino workers because knowing the rules can help them avoid confusion, protect themselves, and understand what to expect from employers.

Free Professional Headshots for Jobseekers

One of the most useful services is the free professional headshot station.

Photographers will be available to take job-ready photos. These can be used for applications, online profiles, and other professional needs.

For jobseekers who cannot afford a studio photo, this gives them a chance to improve their profile at no cost.

Part of Kalayaan 2026

Kalayaan 2026 is organized by Emirates Loves Philippines, Infinite Communities, and The Filipino Channel. This year’s theme is “Feel the Freedom. Share the Peace.”

The event is supported by the Philippine Embassy, the Philippine Consulate General Dubai and the Northern Emirates, the Migrant Workers Office, Dubai Police, and GDRFA Dubai.

The celebration is open to all nationalities, but the free HR Corner services are exclusively for Filipinos.

What Jobseekers Should Do

Filipino jobseekers planning to attend should bring a copy of their CV, prepare questions, and dress neatly if they want to use the free headshot service.

For those looking for work or planning a career move, this is a rare chance to get free help in one place, with no fee and no appointment needed.
