A Big Filipino Celebration in the Heart of Dubai
Kalayaan 2026 is organized by Emirates Loves Philippines, Infinite Communities, and The Filipino Channel, with support from D&R Elegant Events and Urban Grid Group with VivaOne.
The event is open to all nationalities, but it is expected to draw many Filipinos living and working across the UAE.
For many overseas Filipinos, Philippine Independence Day celebrations are more than public events. They become a place to meet friends, bring family, enjoy familiar food, and feel closer to home.
Pinoy Music, Culture, and Food in One Venue
This year’s program will include special performances from actress and singer Arci Muñoz, P pop girl group G22, and P pop boy group 1st.One.
Filipino cultural groups from across the Emirates are also expected to join through music and cultural presentations.
Visitors can also expect interactive exhibits, family friendly attractions, and the return of the Kalayaan Food Village. The food area will feature Filipino and multicultural dishes, reflecting both Filipino identity and the wider UAE community.
More Than a One-Day Event
Organizers said Kalayaan is also about building meaningful connections among Filipinos abroad.
Elena Cruz, founder and CEO of Infinite Communities, said Kalayaan brings together culture, collaboration, and shared experiences, not only for Filipinos but also for the wider UAE audience.
The official launch was recently held at B-Hub, BurJuman Mall. It was attended by Philippine government representatives, media, partners, and community supporters.
Philippine and UAE Groups Back the Celebration
Kalayaan 2026 is supported by the Philippine Embassy, Philippine Consulate General Dubai and Northern Emirates, Migrant Workers Office, Dubai Police, Positive Spirit, Hemaya International, and GDRFA Dubai.
The presence of these groups shows how the celebration has grown into a major community event for Filipinos in the UAE.
