DUBAI: Motorists in Dubai can enjoy five days of free public parking during the Eid Al Adha 2026 holiday, but drivers still need to check where they park.

The Roads and Transport Authority and Parkin confirmed that public parking fees are waived from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29, 2026. Regular parking fees will return on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Where Dubai Drivers Can Park for Free

The free parking applies to standard public parking zones across Dubai.

This means many regular street parking areas and open public parking spaces will not require payment during the announced Eid period. For residents and visitors, this can help reduce travel costs while going to malls, family gatherings, prayer areas, parks, and leisure spots.

Drivers should still follow parking rules. Free parking does not mean motorists can block roads, park in disabled spaces without a permit, or stop in areas where parking is not allowed.

The Parking Areas That Still Charge Fees

The exemption does not include multi-storey parking facilities.

These parking buildings will remain paid during the Eid break and will continue to operate under their normal tariffs.

This is an important detail for drivers going to busy commercial areas, transport hubs, or places where multi-storey parking is the easiest option. Before leaving the car, check the signboard, payment machine, or parking app to avoid surprise charges.

When Parking Fees Resume in Dubai

Dubai public parking fees will be reinstated on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

For Filipino residents and other UAE workers who may be using the long break for errands, visits, or short trips around the city, it is best to plan parking before the weekend begins.

A simple rule can help: regular public parking is free from May 25 to 29, but multi-storey parking is still paid. From May 30, regular charges return.
