ABU DHABI: UAE residents and visitors should prepare for hot daytime weather during the Eid Al Adha holiday period, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
The forecast covers Monday, May 25, to Sunday, May 31, 2026, with hotter conditions expected over inland areas and relatively hot weather over coastal areas and islands. The NCM advised the public to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during daytime hours.

Inland Areas May Reach 48°C
The hottest areas are expected to be inland, where maximum temperatures may reach 43°C to 48°C.
Coastal areas and islands are forecast to see maximum temperatures of 35°C to 43°C, while mountainous areas may be cooler at 28°C to 35°C.
If travel is needed during the day, residents should bring water, wear light clothing, use shade when possible, and avoid leaving children, elderly people, pets, or essential items inside parked vehicles.
Nights Will Feel More Moderate
The NCM said conditions will become generally moderate at night and in the early morning.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 24°C to 32°C over coastal areas and islands, 19°C to 27°C inland, and 24°C to 30°C in mountainous areas.
This means evening plans may feel more comfortable, but humidity can still be a concern in some places.
Fog Possible on Some Coastal Areas
Relative humidity is expected to rise during late night and early morning over some coastal areas.
There is also a chance of fog or light fog on Monday and Friday. Drivers should be careful during early morning trips, especially if visibility drops. Motorists should reduce speed, keep distance from other vehicles, and avoid sudden lane changes.
Dust May Affect Daytime Travel
Winds are expected to shift from southeasterly to northwesterly. They will be light to moderate in general, but may become active at times during the day and cause blowing dust.
This may affect people with allergies, asthma, or other breathing concerns. Those who are sensitive to dust should consider wearing a mask outdoors and keeping windows closed during dusty periods.

Seas Expected to Stay Slight
Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
For residents planning beach or island trips, the weather may still be hot even if the sea is calm. The safest plan is to check the latest NCM updates before leaving, avoid peak heat hours, and keep water nearby throughout the day.
