ABU DHABI: Motorists in Abu Dhabi will get free public parking on Monday, June 15, during the Hijri New Year holiday.

Q Mobility announced the holiday timings and fees for Mawaqif parking and Darb toll gates.

The parking exemption applies to standard public parking spaces across Abu Dhabi.

Regular parking charges will return on Tuesday, June 16, based on the approved timings and tariffs.

Multi-Storey Parking Still Paid

The free parking announcement does not cover all parking areas.

Q Mobility said fees at multi-storey public parking buildings will continue to apply throughout the holiday.

This means drivers should check whether they are using a standard public parking space or a paid multi-storey parking facility.

This is important for residents going to malls, busy city areas, hospitals, offices, or public facilities where multi-storey parking is common.

Motorists should not assume that all parking is free on June 15.

Darb Toll Exemption at Four Gates

Q Mobility also announced Darb toll exemptions for selected gates on Monday, June 15.

Toll charges will be suspended at Sas Al Nakhl, Al Maqta, Rabdan, and Al Saadiyat gates throughout the holiday.

Fees at these gates will resume on Tuesday, June 16, according to the regular schedule.

This may help residents and visitors move around Abu Dhabi more easily during the one-day holiday.

Two Toll Gates Will Still Charge

Not all Darb toll gates are free during the holiday.

Q Mobility said Al Qurm and Ghantout gates will continue to operate as normal.

Motorists will be charged AED4 per crossing at these two gates around the clock.

Drivers passing through these areas should keep this in mind when planning their trips.

This is especially useful for residents travelling between emirates or using routes near Ghantout.

Customer Centres Closed, Online Services Open

Q Mobility said its Customer Happiness Centres in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will be closed on Monday, June 15.

The centres will reopen on Tuesday, June 16, with normal working hours.

However, digital services will remain available 24 hours through the Darb app, Q Mobility’s website, and the TAMM platform.

Residents can still manage accounts, complete transactions, and access services online during the holiday.
