Record-Breaking Financial Performance

In a report by The National News, and also reported Khaleej Times,  the 22-week bonus announcement follows the Emirates Group’s best financial performance to date during the fiscal year 2024-2025. The Group reported a record profit before tax of AED 22.7 billion (approximately USD 6.2 billion), an 18% increase from the previous year. This milestone reinforces Emirates’ position as not only the world’s most profitable airline but also the most profitable aviation group globally.

Other impressive financial highlights include:

  • Revenue reached AED 145.4 billion (USD 39.6 billion), up 6% from last year.
  • EBITDA hit a record AED 42.2 billion (USD 11.5 billion), showcasing the Group’s strong operational efficiency.
  • Cash assets climbed to AED 53.4 billion (USD 14.6 billion), up 13%.

This spectacular growth was driven by strong global demand for air travel and cargo services, coupled with strategic expansion into new markets and enhanced services, including retrofitted aircraft and premium cabin upgrades.

Staff Recognition Through Generous Rewards

The decision to increase the bonus from 20 to 22 weeks demonstrates Emirates’ ongoing commitment to its workforce. For eligible flight attendants and aircrew, whose roles require long hours, extensive travel, and unparalleled customer service, this reward acts as a resounding acknowledgment of their dedication. Cabin crew, who are often the public face of the airline, play a crucial role in maintaining Emirates’ world-class reputation.

Last year’s 20-week salary bonus already set a high benchmark in employee recognition, but this year’s increase underscores the Group’s emphasis on sharing its success with employees. Such gestures not only boost morale but also reinforce Emirates as one of the most desirable employers in the aviation industry.

The introduction of new Airbus A350 aircraft with premium features, such as enhanced inflight entertainment and premium economy seating, further elevated the passenger experience.

Such strategic initiatives strengthen not just Emirates’ bottom line but also the job security and career growth of its employees. The Group’s workforce grew by 9% to over 121,000 employees, highlighting its commitment to creating opportunities in aviation.

“This record-breaking performance is a testament to the dedication of our people and the strong demand for our products and services,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. “We are proud to reward our team members who have been instrumental in achieving these historic financial results.
