Dubizzle was established in May 2005, by Sim Whatley and J.C. Butler. Both of the founders lived in Dubai as friends. They looked for jobs until they realized that the market needs an online classifieds service. They started the website at their living room and eventually moved to their first-ever office at the end of 2007. The next years for the company were intense. It grew and grew until it employed around 200 staff in the UAE and 10 other countries in the MENA region. In 2010, Dubizzle had 50 million page views every month and it hit 3 million views later on.
