The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority has launched the TESDA Skills Passport, a mobile first super app designed to bring skills training, certification, and job matching into one digital platform for Filipinos.
The app was officially unveiled on February 5, 2026, at the Makabagong San Juan Theater, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and TESDA Director General Kiko Benitez leading the launch. TESDA said the platform is built around a simple goal – Training should lead to real jobs, not just certificates.
At the center of the app is a digital Skills Passport that stores verified records of TESDA National Certificates and completed trainings.
Instead of paper documents, users get a secure digital portfolio that can be shared with employers through a QR enabled résumé.
When scanned, the code links directly to TESDA verified credentials, making it easier for employers to confirm skills and reducing the risk of fake certificates.
The Skills Passport also includes a job hub that gathers listings from partner job platforms. Through a feature called Find a TESDAn, graduates can create worker profiles and get matched to jobs based on location, industry, and salary preferences.
TESDA says this is meant to close the gap between tech vocational training and actual hiring, especially for blue collar and technical roles that are often missed by mainstream job sites.
Learning and upskilling are built into the same app. Users can access free courses under the TESDA Online Program and receive course recommendations aligned with their skills and career goals.
These courses are presented as learning paths, helping users move step by step toward better job options rather than taking random short courses.
Scholarship access is also integrated. The app connects to TESDA’s Biometric enabled Scholarship Registration System, allowing users to view available scholarships by area or qualification and track applications inside the app. A map-based Centers Near Me feature helps users find TESDA accredited training and assessment centers nationwide.
For identity verification, the Skills Passport uses PhilSys. TESDA said this improves trust and accuracy of records, while also opening the door for future links with other government agencies.
For workers, including overseas Filipinos, the platform offers one place to store credentials, find jobs, and plan further training. For employers, it promises faster and more reliable hiring checks.
TESDA said further updates and partnerships are expected as the Skills Passport rolls out nationwide.
