Tragic Car Crash on Salalah Road Claims Two Lives (Emirati and Omani)

A tragic car crash on Salalah Road near Thumrait in Oman’s Dhofar Governorate has claimed the lives of two men—an Emirati and an Omani. The accident occurred on Saturday, August 2, 2025, and has raised concerns about road safety in the region.

 

What Happened?

According to reports, the two vehicles involved in the crash were traveling at high speeds when they collided head-on. Surveillance cameras captured the violent impact on the two-way highway, which is a common route for travelers heading to Salalah.

The Omani victim, identified as mathematics teacher Nasser Al Kindi, was traveling with his family. Thankfully, his family members survived the crash. The Emirati victim was accompanied by another Emirati citizen, who also survived the incident.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the accident. However, the crash highlights the dangers of speeding and the need for stricter road safety measures to prevent such tragedies.
