The Filipino community in the UAE is gearing up for a busy and meaningful 2026, as the Filipino Social Club (FILSOC) finalizes a packed calendar of community-led events aimed at bringing kabayans closer together.
During a recent strategic planning session shared on their official page, the FILSOC Board of Directors and committee leaders mapped out activities for the next six months, setting the tone for a year focused on unity, service, and shared celebration. The meeting was presided over by FILSOC President Ericson Reyes, who emphasized the group’s goal of strengthening community ties through inclusive and well-organized programs.

A full calendar for Filipinos in the UAE
Several major events are already in preparation, each designed to serve different segments of the Filipino community across the United Arab Emirates.
Among the highlights is Pinoy Desert Camping, which offers families and friends a chance to bond outdoors. Gabi ng Parangal is set to recognize outstanding members and volunteers who have given their time and effort to community work.
FILSOC is also planning initiatives that focus on compassion and inclusion. These include Ramadan Gift Giving, People of Determination Day 2026, and Senior Citizens Day, all aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and honoring elders within the community.
Sports and family-focused events are also on the agenda. The OFW Cup will bring together athletes and supporters, while Family Day and Wet Olympics 2026 are expected to draw large crowds looking for relaxed, fun-filled gatherings.
A major highlight will be the month-long celebration of Philippine Independence Day, which traditionally brings together Filipinos from different emirates for cultural shows, food fairs, and heritage activities.
Strong focus on volunteerism and compliance
Looking ahead, FILSOC is placing stronger emphasis on volunteer engagement, encouraging members who want to give back to take active roles in organizing and running events. The group also reaffirmed its commitment to working only with Accredited Filipino Groups that comply with Community Development Authority regulations and federal laws, ensuring all activities remain legal, safe, and well-coordinated.
For now, these plans signal an active year ahead for Filipinos in the UAE, with more details on schedules and venues expected to be announced in the coming months.
