Free Support Available Anytime

The helpline is managed by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DoH) in partnership with Sakina, a specialized mental health network operating under SEHA, which is part of the healthcare group PureHealth.

Through the hotline, callers can connect directly with qualified mental health professionals trained to provide immediate guidance and psychological first aid.

The service is available in both Arabic and English, making it accessible to a wide range of residents and expatriates across the emirate.

Officials say the hotline is designed to create a safe and compassionate space where individuals can openly discuss concerns affecting their wellbeing.

Help for Anxiety, Stress, and Other Concerns

Residents can call the hotline for support on various mental health issues, including:

• Anxiety and panic attacks
• Acute stress
• Sleep difficulties
• Emotional distress
• Other mental health concerns

People who are already managing a mental health condition can also seek advice on coping strategies during difficult or stressful periods.

The service also includes special support for children and families, ensuring that younger residents and parents have access to professional guidance when needed.

Expanding Mental Health Support in the UAE

Health authorities say the hotline is part of broader efforts to strengthen mental health services and encourage people to seek help when needed.

By providing immediate access to trained professionals, the initiative aims to reduce stigma around mental health while ensuring residents have a reliable support system during challenging moments.

The launch reflects growing recognition that mental wellbeing is an important part of overall health, particularly in fast paced urban environments where stress levels can increase.

Residents in Abu Dhabi who need emotional support can call 800 SAKINA (725462) at any time to speak with a trained mental health professional.

The service is free, confidential, and available around the clock for anyone seeking guidance or reassurance.
