A fire broke out at the Global Village this Monday (June 25, 2018) morning. The Dubai Civil Defense posted an announcement on social media about the incident to which they have responded quickly. The park is currently closed to the public (since April 2018) and they are set to open again in October 2018.
Authorities have mentioned that they have controlled the fire and that no injuries have been reported. The fire affected the Chinese Pavilion.

Global Village is one of the major attractions in Dubai which offers entertainment and cultural activities. It houses different pavilions and booths from different countries around the world and you can shop items specific to these countries.

The Global Village operations team, in collaboration with rescue and firefighting teams, managed to rapidly control a fire that occurred this morning at one of the pavilions during the demolition process, after closing curtains on Season 22 in April this year. The fire was controlled in record time without any injuries or damages.
Global Village is working with concerned authorities in further investigations and would like to thank all staff for their tireless efforts to provide the highest levels of safety and immediate response.
