Founded in June 2005, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) is a government-controlled energy and holding company based in the capital. 5. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is the largest oil company in the UAE; it is also the 12th largest in the world in terms of production. Globally, this company has more than 50,000 employees, stationed in countries across the Gulf region, Europe, North America, and Asia.

EMDAD Services LLC was established in 1979 in Abu Dhabi, and was formerly known as Al Bawardi. It serves as an upstream and downstream provider of integrated solutions, along with geological data management services.

7. Crescent Petroleum
Founded in 1971, Crescent Petroleum is headquartered in Sharjah, the nearest emirate to Dubai. It is a subsidiary of the Crescent Group, a family business whose other subsidiary, Crescent Enterprises, is a multinational company.
Interestingly, Crescent Petroleum has earned a number of operational world records. One of these was awarded in 1992, when the company was recognised for having “the deepest short radius horizontal section drilled” and “the deepest slim hole to be cased by expandable casing.” Impressive!
