Celebrate the PH Independence Day With Exciting Visual Shows at Dubai Festival City Mall
The mall will include the world’s largest permanent projection of the Russian flag, as well as a special Philippines Independence Day show complete with lights and fountains, providing a very unique experience.
The festivities will take place on Saturday, June 12 between 7.30 and 8.30 p.m., with a special Philippines Independence Day show following IMAGINE, and a projection of the Russian flag at 9.30 p.m.

In recent years, the UAE has celebrated the Philippine Independence Day with festivities and lots of fun events. However, due to the ongoing pandemic and restrictions still in place, celebrations are limited to residents’ homes, with the light show at the Dubai Festival City Mall signalling the important date for people in the UAE.
The UAE, which is the second most popular GCC destination for Filipino overseas workers after Saudi Arabia, is home to an estimated 750,000 of the 10 million Filipinos working around the world. According to the UAE Central Bank’s annual report, they are the third largest category sending money home after India and Pakistan, contributing for 7.2 percent of the Dh169.2 billion in outward personal remittances last year.
The necessity to meet their family’s economic demands and career growth prospects are the main reasons for staying in the UAE after having a secure job and greater salary. Around 40% of those polled had lived in the UAE for two to five years, while 37% have stayed here for more than six. Around a third of those polled said they intend to stay in the country for another three to five years according to the UAE Central Bank’s annual report.
