A recent survey of both expats and Emiratis revealed that over 93% of residents are proud to live in the country.
In addition to this, about 92% said that they feel safe walking alone at night and 82% are happy with the government services.
Survey Reveals 93% of Residents Proud To Live in UAE
The National Happiness and Wellbeing Survey targeted 10,000 people aged 15 and over. About 84 per cent of respondents indicated that they are comfortable with their family relationships and 88 per cent have good communication skills, the Khaleej Times reported.
It noted that 8 out of 10 people believe they are living a meaningful life, and 84 per cent of the country’s population are generally optimistic despite the current situation.
The Ministry of Community Development had launched the survey in February 2020. It featured responses from students, senior citizens, and people of determination, retirees, unemployed citizens, housewives and working women.
In line with this, Hessa Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development, emphasized that the survey was aimed at measuring the wellbeing standards of the UAE community in seven vital sectors: Community, healthcare, education, economy, security-justice and safety, infrastructure-housing and environment, and human resources.
