Do you know if you have registered and are certified to vote in the 2022 Philippine national elections? The Philippine Consulate General office in Dubai has posted on their official website the list of Filipinos who have registered and are certified to vote. These are in the forms of PDF files that were recently uploaded on the site so that Filipinos in Dubai and Northern Emirates can find out if they are eligible to vote.

This list is for overseas workers who are based in Dubai and the Northern Emirates which includes the emirate of Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah. If you are based in Abu Dhabi, you may check out the names of the registered voters here.

UPDATE: Currently, the Philippine Consulate has not yet posted the certified list of absentee voters (overseas voters), so please stay tuned. As per PH law, COMELEC will release the list of registered voters at least 120 days before the national election dates. Once COMELEC releases the list of names, they will forward it to the Philippine embassies,  consulates, and foreign service establishments. How to Search for your name in the list of registered overseas voters?

In case you are wondering how you can search for your name, you simply have to choose the PDF file from the list uploaded by PCG Dubai. They have compiled it according to alphabetical order using the last names of the registered voters.

All you have to do is open the file based on your Last Name, and then scroll to your name to find if it is listed.

What does it mean if my name is included in the list of Registered Overseas Voters?

It means that you have successfully registered for overseas voting and you can participate in the COMELEC national elections.

What if my name is not on the list of registered voters?

It means that you are unable to vote in the upcoming 2022 Philippine elections. You may vote in the succeeding elections after this.

I am from other emirates? Where should I check vote?

If you are based in other emirates in the UAE, you can still check your name if it is on the list. However, take note that the PCG Dubai & Northern Emirates handle voters from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah.

Overseas Voting in Dubai and the Northern Emirates

The Philippine Consulate General Dubai informs the public of the following schedule of the Overseas Voting in connection with the Philippine National Elections 2022 at the Philippine Consulate General Dubai and POLO-OWWA (Al Qusais 3, Dubai, UAE)

10 April to 8 May 2022 – 8am to 9pm
9 May 2022 – 8am to 3pm
Voting ends at 7pm Philippine Time

10 Clustered Precincts – PCG Dubai will deploy ten (10) clustered precincts during the election period at the Consulate, POLO-OWWA and other field voting venues. Venuss and schedule for field voting will be announced at a later date.

Check if you are included in the Certified List of Voters (CLOV) in Dubai and Northern Emirates at the Consulate website.

Registered overseas voters in Dubai and the Northern Emirates who wish to cast their ballots are required to present Emirates ID or Passport or any valid ID during the election for identification purposes.

How to Vote at PCG Dubai

Check out these steps about the voting process at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai:

  1. Check if your name is on the Certified List of Overseas Voters (CLOV) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
  2. Present your passport or any valid ID to the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI)
  3. Sign on the voter’s list and receive your ballot. Make sure that the ballot is new, not marked, torn, or smudged.
  4. Proceed to the voting area. Use the ballot secrecy folder and marking pen provided by the SBEI.
  5. Fill out the ballot properly. DO NOT tear, deface or make unnecessary marks on the ballot.
  6. Remember to vote for one (1) President, one (1) Vice President, not more than twelve (12) Senators and not more than one (1) Party List. Over voting will not be counted.
  7. Return to SBEI and insert ballot in the vote counting machine (VCM).
  8. Wait for the voter’s receipt to be printed. DO NOT pull the receipt.
  9. Verify your votes on the voter’s receipt.
  10. If there are no errors, drop the receipt on the Voter’s Receipt Receptacle. Do not take a photo or make a copy of the voter’s receipt. Do not take the voter’s receipt with you when you leave.
  11. If votes do not match, report to SBEI. Note that filing of “frivolous objections” is considered an election offense.
  12. Leave the voting area.

Advisory: PCG Dubai Update about Voters List 2022

Below you can see the advisory update from the official Facebook Page of PCG Dubai regarding the announcement for the Certified List of Overseas Voters for the 2022 National and Local Elections:

Filipino citizens who registered for overseas voting last 16 December 2019 until 14 October 2021 may now verify if they will be able to exercise their right to vote through the Certified Lists of Overseas Voters (CLOVs) and National Registry of Overseas Voters for the 2022 National and Local Elections (NLE).

CLOV is the list of overseas voters whose applications to vote have been approved by the Resident Election Registration Board (RERB).

The list was approved by the Commission on Elections during its En Banc meeting on 26 January 2022.
