Dubai Police blocked 232 websites promoting drugs and helped secure 24 international arrests during the fourth quarter of 2025, as authorities intensified efforts against narcotics networks.
According to figures reviewed during the Q4 performance evaluation meeting of the Dubai Police General Department of Anti-Narcotics, officers also shared 121 important intelligence leads with international partners.
The results were discussed in a meeting chaired by Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, alongside senior officials from criminal investigation and excellence departments.

Cross border crackdown
Officials said drug trafficking remains a cross border threat that requires strong global coordination. The 121 intelligence leads shared in Q4 contributed to the arrest of 24 suspects outside the UAE, highlighting Dubai Police’s role in international enforcement efforts.
The blocking of 232 drug promoting websites also signals a stronger digital crackdown. Authorities have increased monitoring of online platforms used to advertise or distribute illegal substances.
Major General Al Shamsi praised officers and personnel for maintaining high performance indicators in drug related cases. He reaffirmed the force’s commitment to continuous training, adoption of international best practices, and the use of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence tools.
Local enforcement and awareness
The Q4 review also covered statistics on drug cases, suspects arrested, and quantities seized across Dubai and at the national level. Operational plans and performance targets were evaluated to improve enforcement outcomes.
Beyond arrests and seizures, Dubai Police expanded prevention efforts through the Hemaya International Center.
During the fourth quarter alone, the center organized 238 awareness programmes that benefited 75,980 individuals. Social media campaigns reached more than 4.6 million people, promoting family involvement, security awareness, and community engagement.
Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaiza, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, emphasized that tackling narcotics requires strong international partnerships and consistent public awareness.
What residents should know
The latest figures show that authorities are targeting both physical trafficking routes and online drug promotion channels. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
Dubai Police say the focus moving forward will remain on intelligence sharing, technology driven monitoring, and community education to prevent the spread of narcotics in the emirate and beyond.
