Dubai Barges into Top 10 List of World’s Best Cities for 2019

In line with this, Dubai’s initiatives  have been recognized once again as the city has been named one of the best cities of 2019, as shared in a report by Resonance Consultancy on its website.

Resonance Consultancy “ranks the world’s best cities with populations of more than a million, using a combination of statistical performance and qualitative evaluations by locals and visitors in 24 areas grouped into six core categories”.

The top 10 cities were revealed at a Nov. 7 reception in London as part of the City Nation Place Global forum, an annual conference for destination branding, economic development and tourism marketing that Resonance has sponsored since 2015.

Media stalwart Bloomberg also credited the survey as “the most comprehensive study of its kind; it identifies cities that are most desirable for locals, visitors, and business people alike, rather than simply looking at liability or tourism appeal”.

Resonance designed the Best Cities programme and ranking to quantify and benchmark the relative quality of place, reputation and competitive identity for the planet’s large cities with metropolitan populations of 1 million or higher by analyzing and comparing 23 factors in six key categories using a combination of core statistics and online perception ratings and reviews.

The algorithm created by Resonance aims to help cities understand their strengths and areas for improvement through the perception of the people and groups with high value: talents, business leaders, and tourists.

Here is the list of the 2019 World’s Best Cities:

1. London
2. Paris
3. New York
4. Tokyo
5. Barcelona
6. Moscow
7. Chicago
8. Singapore
9. Dubai
10. San Francisco

Congratulations to the best cities of 2019! It’s always a worthwhile goal and challenge to compete with the best, but the higher challenge is to remain at the top of the pack and to continuously set an example for the rest to follow.
