No One Fights Alone: Social Media Couple, Khalid Al Ameri and Salama Mohamed, Support Maria Vizcaya’s Battle Against Cancer
In the video, Maria shares her story of coming to the UAE. Maria has been working in the UAE for 13 years and has 4 kids. In 2018, she underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy after being diagnosed of breast cancer. In 2019, she survived. However, this May 2020, she found out that she is having another battle with cancer but now it is in the lung area.
Now she is creating these t-shirts that promote awareness about cancer and spreading the news that “no one fights alone”.
Social media couple, Khalid and Salama, came to visit her and show support. The couple gave Maria AED 10,000 to support her and her cause.
Maria shares a message to fellow cancer warriors that we are not alone: “To everyone, to my co-patients and co-survivors, I would like to let you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We can do it. With Faith, we have hope and we can WIN this battle!”
Maria also shares a message to her children: “I am fighting for all of you. I still want to have time with you. More time – and I want to see you all guys grow up. So I’m going to fight this, we just keep on praying. See you soon!”
