Horrifying and tragic accident. A flight from Lahore to Karachi from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) carrying passengers crashed into a residential area near airport in Karachi.
The plane that is an Airbus A320 and it had taken off from Lahore and crashed during approach to Jinna International Airport, Karachi.
According to a report from Dawn Newspaper, Pakistan’s oldest and leading English-language newspaper, PIA spokesperson Abdul Sattar confirmed the Flight 8303 crash which carried 90 passengers and 8 crew members on board.
A post from Pakistan Armed Forces states that army aviation helicopters were flown to rescue and assess the damages. Search and rescue teams are also sent on site.
