The RTA metro is a convenient way to access the key locations of Dubai. If you’re planning to travel around the city, this is the fastest option for you. Although there are other zones in the city that do not have metro access yet, the best bet in those areas are public buses.
If you have some extra cash, taking a Dubai Taxi (at 3.50 AED starting rate) is the next convenient option. For now, there are only two lines in the Road Transport Authority (RTA) Metro Public Station; these are the Red Line and the Green Line. Below is a compiled list of present stations of the Metro.

Metro Purple Line Coming Soon
In the next couple of years, it announced that a Purple Line will be constructed. This is good news as this gives the people of Dubai another option to save on public transportation costs. I can’t wait for it to be set up soon!
