Dubai Municipality Wins 100+ Global Awards

Dubai Municipality secured more than 100 local, regional and international awards in 2025, highlighting its performance across digital transformation, sustainability, infrastructure development and quality of life initiatives.

The recognitions span key sectors including smart city management, circular economy projects, environmental systems, public health and urban planning.

Officials said the awards reflect continued progress in building resilient and future-ready infrastructure across the emirate.

Awards Recognize Safety, Innovation and Urban Planning

Among the major honors received were the International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council, recognizing efforts to strengthen occupational health and safety standards.

The Municipality also earned business and operational excellence awards, including the BTOPEX Awards for Achievement in Business Operations Management and the Agile Business Awards for Overall Business Agility.

International recognition extended to quality management and innovation. Dubai Municipality received the International Quality Awards 2025 in the Quality Team category, the International Best Practice Award for Opportunity Seizing, and the HBC International Awards in Business Resilience.

Several awards recognized major infrastructure projects, including the electrical substation at the Warsan Waste Management Centre and the Waste-to-Energy biogas conversion initiative. These projects support Dubai’s long-term sustainability goals and waste management strategy.

Focus on Sustainability and Human Capital

The Municipality’s Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2041 also gained global attention, earning the Global Human Settlements Award on Planning and Design at the Global Forum on Human Settlements 2025 in Geneva.

In addition, Dubai Municipality secured multiple Human Capital Management Excellence Awards for leadership development, certification programs and employee wellbeing initiatives. It also received Brandon Hall Group’s Technology Excellence Award in the Future of Work category for its digital credentialing platform.

At the LivCom Awards 2025, the Municipality won a Silver Award under Inclusive City and Sustainable Planning and Management Policies for its Government Land Allocation and Regulation Initiative, aligned with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.


For residents and businesses, these recognitions signal continued investment in smart systems, environmental protection, safety standards and long-term urban planning.
