Dubai Police has organized the Al Hamriyah Community Forum for the Filipino community as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen trust, communication, and safety awareness among Dubai’s diverse residents.
According to Dubai Police, the forum was held at Hemaya School under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with Al Muraqqabat Police Station and several strategic partners. More than 1,200 members of the Filipino community attended the event.

The forum was inaugurated in the presence of Lieutenant Colonel Majid Issa Redha, Deputy Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station; representatives from the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai; and Fatima Ahmed Yusuf Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council and Head of the Cultural Diversity Section at the General Department of Community Happiness. Police officers, officials, and participants from the Policing Innovation and Leadership Diploma program also took part.
Dubai Police said the forum forms part of a wider community policing strategy aimed at building direct communication channels between law enforcement and residents from different cultural backgrounds.
Lieutenant Colonel Redha said the initiative supports Dubai Police’s strategic goal of enhancing community happiness while maintaining public safety across the city. He added that regular engagement with communities helps address concerns early, improve awareness of laws and services, and reinforce shared responsibility for security.
Police officers also explained common fraud schemes, clarified the proper use of emergency number 999 for urgent situations, and highlighted 901 as the correct line for non-emergency inquiries. Participants were shown how to access security, traffic, and criminal services through the Dubai Police smart app and official website, including the “Police Eye” service for reporting incidents.
In addition to the information sessions, the forum featured community activities designed to encourage interaction and cultural exchange. These included tug-of-war contests, awareness quizzes, musical performances, displays of tourist police patrol vehicles, and traditional Filipino dance presentations.
Dubai Police said the Al Hamriyah Community Forum reflects its commitment to inclusive policing and social integration in a city that is home to more than 200 nationalities.
