Weeks after she started her efforts to feed residents in their community, Emirati vlogger Khalid Al Ameri visited Feby and showed his appreciation to her and her project, now more popularly known as Feby’s Ayuda Program, by giving Feby and her team AED 10,000 to support their program.

Jobless Pinay’s Ayuda Program Receives Support from Arab Residents in UAE

This time, more community members in Dubai have come out to show their support to Feby’s Ayuda Program

In a tweet shared by Dela Pena, two members of the Alansari clan offered to help distribute the meal packs that they have donated to the initiative.

In another tweet, Dela Pena shared that a group of non-Filipino women also visited her to show their support for her program.

“These lovely ladies came to show their support for the Ayuda Project! Beautiful ladies inside and out. Thank you so much for your help and support,” Dela Pena wrote in a tweet.

Dela Pena’s initiative is already on its 23rd day of operation since it started on Eid Al Fitr of this year.

Also recently, Dela Pena received support from Mr. Sake Van Der Wal, Consul Economic of South Africa, for her humanitarian project.

Thank you so much Mr. Sake Van Der Wal, Consul Economic of South Africa for the help and support for the Ayuda Project! May the favors & blessings be with your family always?????? #nooneshouldbehungry #freefood #ayudaproject #georgeslutongbahayatbp #febyskitchen

But the reach of Feby’s efforts did not only attract the attention of residents and authorities, as the Emirates Loto has also donated 10,000 meals to her project for the residents of Dubai.

As more and more private and government institutions continue to pour in their support for Feby’s Ayuda Project, Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes has also congratulated Dela Pena on her great initiative.

What’s remarkable about Dela Pena’s project is that all residents in their area, regardless of their nationalities, benefit from the program.

And from back home, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin, Jr. acknowledged Dela Pena’s humanitarian initiative to help her kababayan and other non-Filipino residents in Dubai during these challenging times.

In his tweet, Locsin shared: “Hi, ma’am. You are the only reason we can be proud to be Filipino in these times because you are one. Thank you so much for inspiring the rest of us.”

Feby, who lives with her husband and three kids in Dubai, has been preparing packed meals for 200 individuals in Dubai every day since her project started.

Her selfless and tireless attitude towards helping those in greater need has inspired many residents in Dubai and across the world.

When asked about why she chose to do this instead of focusing on taking care of her family’s needs during this time, Feby replied: “I don’t believe that you have to be rich to help others. Whatever you have in your own house, in your own pocket, you can share it – even if only just a portion of it.

And by doing so, Feby hopes that her children will also learn this lesson as they grow up from what they can see she is doing right now.
