Attention all OFWs in Dubai and Northern Emirates. Please be advised of a government-led event that will bring a range of important services directly to Filipino workers and their families in the area. The “Bagong Bayani ng Mundo – OFW Serbisyo Caravan” will be held on August 3, 2025 at Exhibition Hall 8, Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC).
This initiative is designed to make various government programs and assistance more accessible without the need to travel back to the Philippines. Pre-Caravan services will also be offered from July 28-30, 2025 at the Migrant Workers Office in Dubai.
Overview of the OFW Serbisyo Caravan
The Serbisyo Caravan is an outreach initiative led by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). Its objective is to extend different government services and programs to OFWs who may need help while based overseas. It serves as a one-stop venue for information, assistance, and support.
List of Services for OFWs
Several government agencies will participate in the event to provide various services, which include the following:
- Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) – Free legal consultation, Assistance with criminal, civil, labor, and administrative cases
- PhilHealth – Guidance on health insurance membership and benefits
- PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority) – Help with requests for birth, marriage, or death certificates
- Pag-IBIG Fund and SSS (Social Security System) – Updates on membership, Inquiries regarding benefits and loans
- OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) – Counseling and assistance for OFWs
- DTI-PTIC Dubai (Department of Trade and Industry) – Support and advice for those interested in starting a business
- PCG Dubai (Philippine Consulate General) – Services related to passport renewal and consular affairs
- DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) – Social welfare assistance for OFWs and their families
The Caravan aims to provide support for the different needs of OFWs in Dubai. By gathering the services in one location, the event is intended to make it easier for Filipino migrant workers to access government assistance, information, and legal aid without having to return to the Philippines.
