For the past several weeks, the UAE government has been implementing various initiatives amid the pandemic, like this website, which helps in providing residents with food and basic needs.
In Dubai, the leadership remains dedicated to protecting the health and safety of all citizens and residents. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, recently chaired a virtual meeting of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management.

“Our Only Goal Now is Your Protection” – Prince Hamdan
“Thankfully, the situation is under control,” HH Sheikh Hamdan stated through his post on Twitter. “We trust in our community’s compliance, their awareness is what will get us through this transient time. Our only goal now is your protection, and achieving the health and safety of all will always rank highest on our priorities.”
“Obstacles and challenges are two words that don’t exist in the UAE’s dictionary,” he shared. “We believe in hope and opportunity and we’re confident in our ability to overcome the repercussions of COVID-19 through concerted efforts that will resume our stride to success. The best is yet to come.”
The Crown Prince also said that the UAE has been setting a good example for the world through its successful handling of the crisis. He attributed this to the country’s scientific approach, skilled personnel, and consistent monitoring based on the highest global standards.
Notably, the virtual meeting was also attended by Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of the Executive Council; Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; Major General Talal Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi; Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority; Humaid Al Qutami, Director General of DHA; Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office; and Dr. Amer Al Sharif, Vice Chancellor of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences and Head of Dubai’s COVID-19 Command and Control Center.
Indeed, it is truly reassuring to know that the leaders of Dubai and the UAE remain committed to protecting the health and well-being of all citizens and residents. On the same note, private companies and individuals have been doing their part as well. Korooti, for instance, has been partnering with Dubai restaurants to help provide food for expats in need. To all of these groups, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks!
