The police have stated that some vehicle registrations in Sharjah will now be valid for two years.
According to the announcement, motorists can avail of the service, provided their vehicles meet the specified criteria.
Vehicle Registration with 2-Year Validity Announced in Sharjah
In a report by the Khaleej Times, the Sharjah Police Department of Vehicle and Driver Licensing stated that motorists can use the service if their vehicles match the following criteria:
- The vehicle must be new.
- Its insurance must be valid for two years.
Car registration in the UAE is typically valid for one year.
Each Emirate’s traffic authority can register a car. The service is supplied by the traffic department’s service centers, websites, or smart applications.
The registration process includes having the vehicle inspected at testing facilities. A registration card known as mulkiya is issued whenever it fulfills quality standards.
