On the same day, his brother, HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, got married to Sheikha Maryam Bint Butti Al Maktoum.
Likewise, their brother, HH Sheikh Ahmad Bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, married Sheikha Midya Bint Dalmouj Al Maktoum.
Their sister, Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, confirmed the weddings on her social media account, where she congratulated her brothers and posted, “The nation is rejoiced.”
The three royals are now “technically” married, having signed a contract with their respective brides before a judge, as is the custom in traditional Emarati marriages.
That being said, we can all look forward to a more elaborate ceremony, although the weddings of ruling families are usually kept private and not celebrated on public media. Still, this doesn’t stop the people of Dubai and the entire UAE from extending their greetings!
