The Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council celebrated the contributions of one of its young volunteers, 19-year-old Filipina Fathima Agum, with a touching birthday surprise last Saturday (June 7, 2025). During the closing ceremony of the two-day sports event dubbed “Celebrating Eid Together,” held at the outdoor court in Satwa, Ms. Agum was gifted an iPhone 16 Pro Max as a token of appreciation for her dedication and volunteerism.
Since 2019, Fathima has been a committed volunteer with the Positive Spirit Council, serving as an event photographer in the council’s various initiatives aimed at strengthening community bonds. Her dedication extends beyond her photography skills, as she is also an active athlete representing Dubai Police in badminton, padel, and cycling tournaments. Her all-around involvement has made her an invaluable member of the team, inspiring many with her energy and commitment.
Fathima’s surprise celebration was spearheaded by Ms. Fathima Buhjeer, a key figure in the Positive Spirit Council. The event, which brought together diverse community members for a festive weekend of sports and camaraderie, reflected the council’s overarching mission of “Making the Neighborhood Happy.”
The council, established by Dubai Police, aims to foster a sense of belonging, unity, and wellbeing within communities across Dubai. Through their events and initiatives, they promote social harmony, teamwork, and positivity, spreading a message of inclusivity and happiness.
The birthday surprise was a sincere gesture to acknowledge Fathima’s years of service, her unwavering commitment to community activities, and her impressive athletic abilities.
Through moments like these, the Dubai Police’s Positive Spirit Council demonstrates the power of recognizing and uplifting individuals who contribute to building happier and more connected neighborhoods.
