The public holidays marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, UAE National day and Commemoration day have been announced for the the private and public sector. UAE residents, please be aware of the long weekend coming up. This is good news for those who want to maximize their holiday and might go or a quick vacation outside the UAE.

46th UAE National Day, Birthday of Prophet Muhammad and Commemoration Day
Two separate circulars were shared by the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE) and WAM official news agency:
- PRIVATE SECTOR– The holidays for private sector employees start from November 30 to December 2, 2017, work to resume on the 3rd of December.
- PUBLIC SECTOR – The holidays for government and public sector employees start from November 30 to December 3, 2017, work to resume on the 4th of December.
Please be advised of the day mention about if you are to work during this days you should receive holiday benefits.

Private Sector Holiday Note:
Below is a note from the Twitter account of the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation regarding the holiday for the private sector.
تقرر ان تكون اجازة العاملين في منشات ومؤسسات وشركات القطاع الخاص بمناسبة ذكرى المولد النبوي الشريف ويوم الشهيد واليوم الوطني اعتبارا من 30 نوفمبر الجاري وحتى الثاني من شهر ديسمبر المقبل على ان يستأنف العمل يوم الثالث من الشهر ذاته. #الامارات pic.twitter.com/ZSQzJupUGv

Translated: It was decided that the employees of private sector establishments and companies, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet, the day of the Martyr and the National Day, from November 30 to December 2, should resume work on the third day of the same month.
