UAE residents, December 24, 2015 is declared an official paid holiday for both public and private sector. This is in relation to the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Based on a report from WAM, the Ministry of Labour has declared Thursday (Dec. 24) as a holiday which was postponed from December 23rd. As a result, this is going to be a paid holiday. Here’s a tweet from UAE Ministry of Labour to confirm the said declaration.
