The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Dubai has reopened the application for DOLE-AKAP financial aid for OFWs in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. This was shared in an advisory shared online concerning the Department of Labor and Employment’s Abot Kamay ang Pagtulong (DOLE-AKAP) program. DOLE-AKAP is the program that provides financial assistance worth AED 730 (PHP 10,000) for overseas Filipino workers affected by the virus.

It was previously suspended following the availability of funds from the Philippine Government. However, now it has been reopened after DOLE requested for additional funding.
POLO Dubai Reopens DOLE-AKAP AED 730 Financial Aid
So to Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates who have been displaced by the virus, you can access the application form online and apply. Take note that financial assistance is subject to availability of funds and is on a first come, first served basis.
POLO Dubai received over 56,450 applications from April 10, 2020 to May 11, 2020. 23,000 applications have already been evaluated and POLO Dubai is continuing its process of verifying the applications.
Out of submitted applications, 7000 have already been approved and 5,361 OFWs in Dubai and NE have received the AED730 aid.

Alinsunod sa kautusan ng Department of Labor and Employment, nais naming ipaalam na muli nating binuksan ang Online Application para sa DOLE-AKAP One-Time Financial Assistance for Displaced OFWs due to COVID-19.
Bukod sa naunang alokasyon para sa 7,000 OFWs, naaprubahan ang karagdagang pondo para sa 10,000 pang OFWs sa Dubai and Northern Emirates para sa programan ito.
Nakatanggap ang POLO Dubai ng 56,450 aplikasyon mula Abril 10, 2020 hanggang Mayo 11, 20202. Sa ngayon, na-evaluate na ang 23,000 na aplikasyon at patuloy ang aming pagprosesos sa mga aplikasyon na naisumite o naipasa bago pansamantalang nagsara ang link noong Mayo 11, 2020.
Mahigit 7,000 aplikasyon na ang aprobado at 5,361 OFWs na ang nakatanggap ng DOLE-AKAP one-time financial assistance.
Katulad ng mga naunang aplikasyon, kailangan mag-fill up ng Application Form at mag-submit ng supporting documents sa link na matatagpuan sa aming official website: https://www.polodubaiportal.org
Ang pagproseso ng mga aplikasyon at “first come, first served” basis. Ang anumang aplikasyon na hindi ipinasa sa link ng aming website ay hindi bibigyan ng kaukulang aksyon. Gayundin, ang mga aplikasyon na kulang o mali ang requirements ay hindi iproproseso.
Muli naming ipinapaalala na ang desisyon sa aplikasyon ay naaayon lamang sa nakalaang pondo (subject to availaibility of funds) para sa displaced OFWS sa Dubai and Northern Emirates.
