Standing at 321 meters tall, the Burj Al Arab is among the tallest hotels in the world. It was built on an artificial island just 280 metres from the Jumeirah coast. Featuring an iconic “sail” design, a shimmering gold interior, luxury suites, and its own helipad – the building has been one of Dubai’s most popular landmarks since it opened in 1999.

Every year, the hotel welcomes the New Year with a bang! Hotel guests get to enjoy a sumptuous buffet at the gala dinner, dance to a live DJ’s enthralling music, and count down the seconds towards a stunning fireworks display at midnight! Notably, the Burj Al Arab has previously broken the record for the world’s longest fireworks show. Amazing!

Of course, you don’t have to check into the Burj Al Arab to watch the hotel’s New Year fireworks display. There are many places nearby where you can catch the show, such as Madinat Jumeirah, Kite Beach, and Black Palace Beach.

The Arabian-style Madinat Jumeirah is a five-star resort, situated along two kilometres of beachfront, adjacent to the Burj Al Arab. You can book a table at one of the restaurants there, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Burj Al Arab New Year’s Eve fireworks show.

Likewise, you can head to Kite Beach. Located at Umm Suqeim, Jumeirah 3, the beach is a great place to catch the fireworks with your family and friends… and it’s free-of-charge!

Another good location is Black Palace Beach, which is situated behind Al Sufouh Park. It is not as crowded as other beaches; plus, you can also see Atlantis, The Palm’s fireworks display from here! You literally get to watch two fireworks shows from one spot!

On the other hand, if you prefer to stay indoors, you can always catch the hotel’s New Year’s Eve fireworks online. Simply visit the Burj Al Arab’s official website and Facebook page for more information about where to watch their livestream videos.
